Around 250 people joined the zoom or webcast for tonight's online session - 'Assessing the future of the former Bushey Country Club site' - thank you.
We have captured all the questions and comments that came in via either the chat section or via email and will work through those over the next few days and let you know when we have pulled together some answers or comments.
The webcast recording is now available to view if you didn't get a chance to join the session: https://hertsmere.public-i.tv/core/portal/webcast_interactive/557109
Please also leave your views and comments on this site too if you haven't already as these will be analysed in due course.
The virtual session to provide an update on the current position with the former Bushey Country Club site is now fully subscribed but the meeting can still be viewed live via our webcasting system:
https://hertsmere.public-i.tv/core/portal/home
The session, on Thursday 18 March at 7pm and chaired by Philip Nowlan from the Bushey Forum, will review the background to one of the council’s key assets, situated in the High Street, and also recap on the Bushey Country Club Consultation Group’s activities since the club ceased operating as a leisure facility in April 2018.
That will be followed by a brief presentation on Hertsmere’s new Local Plan process to set some context around future planning for the borough, including Bushey. There will then be input on some initial outline proposals for the site, enabling views to be gathered from members of the community.
There will be an opportunity to raise questions or views about the future of the site with the various speakers at the event.
More than 220 people have already added views and suggestions to the Commonplace webpage.. This will remain open for several more weeks for people to add their comments.
A recording of the online event will also be added to this webpage for anyone unable to join the session on the night.
